Filmmaker John Milius wants Limbaugh 'drawn and quartered'
(CNN) -- You know that line in "Dirty Harry" in which Clint Eastwood's Harry Callahan describes the power of the .44 Magnum? John Milius wrote that line.

Outspoken conservative John Milius is not your average Hollywood screenwriter.

Remember the line in "Jaws" when Robert Shaw, playing the shark hunter, talks about his buddies being eaten alive by sharks during World War II? That was Milius.

How about the line in "Apocalypse Now," when Robert Duvall, playing a surf-loving Army colonel, says "I love the smell of napalm in the morning"?

Milius again. And he hasn't lost his bold way with dialogue -- including his own.

For example, here's Milius on stopping murderous drug traffickers in Mexico: "We need to go down there, kill them all, flatten the place with bulldozers so when you wake up in the morning, there's nothing there," he said in a phone interview. "I do believe if you have a military, you use it."

Or Rush Limbaugh: "I was watching Rush Limbaugh the other night, and I was horrified. I would have Rush Limbaugh drawn and quartered. He was sticking up for these Wall Street pigs. There should be public show trials, mass denunciations and executions."

This coming from the guy who gave us the RW classic Red Dawn?? Holy shit!

WOLVERINES!!!

13. This Train's Left The Station...
Democrats don't deserve the credit here...this is all a rushpublican production. They're the party of arrogance and ignorance and they just can't help putting it on display to the max.

They claimed to have the "11th commandment", but that only worked when they all could swill at the trough...not that they're out of power, the long awaited "cage match" for the "soul" of this corrupt party has begun.

Here...enjoy the show...

3. Or you could legalize drugs and eliminate the motivation behind
going to illegal street sellers, who source their drugs from the people beheading each other down in Mexico.

Why go to a shady guy on the street who may not even have the drugs you want, and rob you for your money, when you could go to Walgreens?

We should legalize drugs for the treatment of drug addiction, and work on getting people to stop, but by sourcing their drugs from above ground legal sources.

4. YEAH! HE'S SUCH A HATER!
Quote:

"I would have Rush Limbaugh drawn and quartered."

Here's my response:

Say, what's stopping you from actually carrying out that desire, anyway?

Assuming you mean it, what, exactly, is stopping you?

QUOTE:

"There should be public show trials, mass denunciations and executions."

Heh, exactly what happens under totalitarian, authoritarian regimes... exactly the sort of thing we were sure Bush and Cheney were getting ready to implement, right up to the very day Obama was inaugurated, in fact, as I recall...

5. Milius will never eat lunch in this town again...
In an ideal world, people like John Milius would be just who we need--serious conservatives, well-respected among other conservatives (the NRA crowd loves him--very knowledgeable about firearms, very approachable, loves to go to gun shows and ranges to mingle with the crowds) who have realized Limbaugh is destroying their party.

Unfortunately for Mr. Milius, modern Republicanism has steered away from the true-conservative model favored by Teddy Roosevelt, Milius' hero, toward the no-government creed espoused by Rush Limbaugh and Grover Norquist.

I just checked the snake pit and there's no mention of this on there; my bet is by tomorrow morning the freepers will be organizing Red Dawn-burning parties.

8. While I can't get behind most of his statements here...
I do like the, 'drawn and quartered' idea. I'm one of those people who thinks Rush should be executed for treason. Normally, I'm not for the death penalty, but I'll push aside my qualms for war criminals or treasonous hatemongers like Rush. I think this man is toxic waste and has hurt this country more than we can even comprehend.

9. I want every secret he has outed. I want him ruined and have to
leave the air. I want people talking about his _____________(add pecadillo here) and all the other crimes he's committed. That is worse than dying.
