The secret service needs to pay Chuck Norris a visit.
Look at this. Chuck Norris has either lost his mind or he's promoting his new marshal arts movie. But he's gone way toooo far. He's incouraging "Turner Diary" type militia movements to rise up against Obama. It's been fun watching grown people have toddler temper tantrums but they got to understand that we are NOT in the mood for this shit.

If they don't like the new popular President supported by MOST of the American people they can GET THE FUCK OUT!

Nobody's keeping them here and this isn't funny. Read the comment section. This RW WACKOS are taking him seriously.



Chuck Norris claims thousands of right wing cell groups exist and will rebel against U.S. government

The call by some right wing leaders for rebellion and for the military to refuse the commander in chief’s orders is joined by Chuck Norris who claims that thousands of right wing cell groups have organized and are ready for a second American Revolution. During an appearance on the Glen Beck radio show he promised that if things get any worse from his point of view he may “run for president of Texas.” The martial artist/actor/activist claims that Texas was never formally a part of the United States in the first place and that if rebellion is to come through secession Texas would lead the way.

Today in his syndicated column on WorldNetDaily Norris reiterates the point: “That need may be a reality sooner than we think. If not me, someone someday may again be running for president of the Lone Star state, if the state of the union continues to turn into the enemy of the state.”

He continues; calling on a second American Revolution; “…we've bastardized the First Amendment, reinterpreted America's religious history and secularized our society until we ooze skepticism and circumvent religion on every level of public and private life.

How much more will Americans take? When will enough be enough? And, when that time comes, will our leaders finally listen or will history need to record a second American Revolution? We the people have the authority according to America's Declaration of Independence, which states: That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government…”

Norris claims that; “Thousands of cell groups will be united around the country in solidarity over the concerns for our nation.” The right wing cells will meet during a live telecast, "We Surround Them," on Friday March 13 at 5 p.m.

He closes with the words of Sam Houston followed by a plug for his next martial arts event.

“We view ourselves on the eve of battle."

(Note: Speaking of showdowns, Chuck is also inviting anyone near the Houston area this weekend to see a good example of the raw Texas fighting spirit by joining him and others for the national martial arts event, "Showdown in H-Town.")“

Having said that: A state (including Texas) has minority rights as well. Majority Rule is offset by a set of rights that even the smallest minority has and cannot be overriden. That's what the 9th and 10th Amendment are for: Even if Bush is in office, no one can tell you how to school your kids, or run your life (ideally.) You are the governor of your own self. You just delegate some of that authority to someone 1000 miles away. Don't redirect, please. And I *DO* have the moral authority to call out Bush and the Republican party and say "You've been guilty as hell for the last 8 years also." All the more reason to take Chuck Norris seriously: Washington is an abusive place regardless of the party in power.

9. I sometimes go to a site called Above Top Secret
for the odd stories (sorry, I love reading about UFOs and aliens and Atlantis). If there is a conspiracy theory, it has appeared on ATS at least three times. Recently there have been a spate of stories about how some states' legislatures are authorizing their state's breaking away from the US. I figured it was just sore-looser rhetoric (and some posters there tell the person who has posted the story to just get over loosing the election too, yeah!). Now I wonder if there isn't some sort of underground movement by hardcore right-wing nuts to actually try and get their states to leave. But, as for Chuckie baby, he can just STFU.

and I've discussed this with some fellow Southerners...if the Democratic Party leadership did it right, they could appeal to tradition in such a way that I honestly think Republicans would be hard-pressed to get elected as dog-catchers. And in such a way that would NOT require an appeal to the ugliness and hate of the GOP's Southern Strategy.

To read their comments is to literally see how misplaced in time they are. The last 8 years seems to have gone unnoticed by them. And yet those were the closest to a fascist dictatorship this country has ever been. It's almost too bad that Bush didn't succeed, in a way. Maybe these people...no...they'll never get it.

I've still got to read John Dean's book on authoritarianism. I think it would be helpful if all people read it, so they might be able to identify the trouble that ails many of the conservative mindset.

That book is online. I'm unable to find it. But if you want, I can find it in my bookmarks and post it.

Sometimes I wish I had never discovered the truth about whom I share my country with. It's better to know.

As an interesting side-note, according to Wikipedia, the title was originally planned for a collaborative effort between Barry Goldwater and John Dean.

That in turn leads to an interesting postscript to H20 Man's dissection of an old JFK smear. Kennedy was accused of having Profiles in Courage ghostwritten. As if the gods of irony demanded it, Barry Goldwater published The Conscience of a Conservative in 1960 to coincide with his Presidential campaign against Kennedy.

Goldwater's book really was ghostwritten, by a guy named L. Brent Bozell, a brother-in-law of William F. Buckley.
