Regarding Twitter...........
Doonesbury's been pretty funny with it this week, but I like this:

2. Heehee
I regret to say that I'm now repulsed by "twitter".

Didn't use to feel that way. Could've taken it or left it. MSNBC dude twitter'd during his show and it seemed like another cool way to get our opinions out there in rightwing corpwhore media world.

But since the Party of Puke enjoys using it so much, I now find myself fighting the dry heaves every time one of those twits mentions the word twitter.

:puke:

9. I hate to be the one to break this news to you...
There are Republicans on the Internet. Many watch televisions and use telephones. They even read and have been known to write books! Maybe you'd be happier in a shack in the woods.

In trying to be clever, you missed my point by about 10,000 miles.

This thread IS talking about Twitter not the internet, not books, not telephones or whatever else you were rattling off.

In other words, I don't give a sh*t about *Twitter* especially since the pukes seem to be enjoying themselves so much with it.

13. Well. the "pukes" enjoy TV and books and telephones. Maybe you'll want to
give them up, too.

Way to miss my point, nc4bo.

3. I tries to think before I write...
I post on 2 different discussion boards. I read over a thousand entries a day on a vast variety of subjects and on a busy day I might find 10 to which I think I have something of interest to contribute . I doubt I have ever started more than 5 threads in 24 hours....What kind of person signs up to start threads like "my clean socks feel fluffy and are pretty and blue"??? And worse, who actually signs up and then spends time to read this stuff???

4. Imagine this........
There is someone beside you, all the time, saying out loud everything s/he does.

"I took a deep breath and it turned into a yawn."

"I think I'm hungry."

"Watched TV last night."

"What should I have for lunch?"

And on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and ............................

5. Hello Darling....
...I'd call the whole Twitter thing superficial except it seems much more superficial than the term can convey. Interpersonal discourse by shotgunning of your feeblest musings. And oh yes...there are polar bears ice skating on my coffee cup! Soy sauce and master locks. Why haven't you twittered me? (And yes, those are the 3 items standing nearest to my monitor...)

6. Soy sauce?
Now that's impressive. I can't cook when I'm at this desk. But, really, I am impressed. Do you often get ingredients on the keyboard?

I just don't understand this constant need to be in touch with everyone in the world all the time. Granted, I'm extraordinarily antisocial, except when I'm not, but there is a lot of joy in solitude, when it's your choice.

Imagine what people are missing when they're twittering (the urge to call it something else is almost - almost - overwhelming), but I'm also someone who doesn't even have a cell phone. I did, and people called me on it, and that was just too much for me.

How's my favorite hot dog man? The season starts soon, right? Or are you all year round?

I had dinner with friends at this place tonight - http://www.edgardosfood.com/Edgardos-Restaurant-Home-Page.html - really great, great food. We ate to the point of coma and had leftovers to take home!

Was that last paragraph a twitter? Does that make me a ...................... ?

11. My keyboard looks like it was struck by a Predator drone....
...The season starts this year (I hope) around the third week in April. Currently testing recipes for breakfast burritos and looking for a source for a mango-chipotle sauce we liked on a dog with raw onion last year...Looking forward to seeing how my regulars wintered but knowing the 7 day a week grind will be tough. Last year we opened late (first week in May) and closed early (Oct 30th) due to injuries in an auto accident. In between we closed 5 days and one of those was because my Mom was hospitalized. We hot dog guys are dedicated!

That looks like a great little restaurant. Up here the pizza is mostly chain stuff so I wind up making my own. I REALLY miss the old Bridgeport CT places and cheese pizzas with scamorza. Seems no one uses it anymore. I wish I could get my home oven over 550 degrees too...Oh...and I'm not italian so I use store bought dough-I never inherited a yeast dough gene. Glad you had a good night with friends.

Maybe, but if so me too I guess..a twit that is. Roger on the anti-social part. It's a real shortlist to get my phone number or in the front door. But it does make me value those I allow. Take care...
