Madoff Facing 150 Years In Prison? - nah! he'll exit this scenario the way Ken Lay did and
have his ca$h waiting for him - I recall Bush ordering Gonzo to play down any investigation, so who saw Kenny boy getting burned? anyone? All Madoff has to do is tell the judge whatever he wants to hear then, poof! he has a stroke, a stroke of joy because he got away with it. yes/no/maybe?

11. Smug posing will get you by for awhile, but it's no substitute for rational thought, Hanse.

13. Rational thought?
A Homer Simpsonesque plot to fake one's death to avoid prosecution? Rational thought? Is that what you're doing?

18. After that post, I'm surprised you can type the word "rational" without being struck by lightning.
Perhaps there really is no G*D.

Or, maybe he's just too busy to pay attention to your childish nonsense,
and has chosen to IGNORE you....

Like I just did.

25. Rational thought? Have you a scintilla of evidence that Lay faked
his death? You evidently don't know the meaning of the phrase 'rational thought'.

8. I doubt that there wasn't some back room deal made
somewhere...he wouldn't have pled...he could have stretched this out for quite some time...I think he's got an upfront harsh sentencing deal with the stipulation that when things get quiet he'll "talk" and that goes with a big reduction. I seriously don't think he would plead and not take it to court if he thought he would be spending the rest of his life in jail. Remember tomorrow would probably be his last free day!

10. Fraud-Did Ken Lay Really Die?
The Associated Press reported that Ken Lay died of a heart attack this morning in Aspen, Colorado. Mr. Lay, the former chairman of Enron Corporation, had been convicted of several crimes in one of the largest public company frauds in history. The various chat rooms are abuzz with allegations Mr. Lay used his money and connections to fake his death and has simply fled before his sentencing. This angry reaction is not new in security fraud cases.

20. Easy
Tell the whole truth, then kill himself.

OK, that's not $53 billion dollars worth. Still it's a good start.

22. He's Keeping The Bodies Burried
The dude's 70 years old...surely isn't making too many long term plans.

Here's something to consider. He's probably safer in prison than he is on the streets. If reports that some of the money he used was laundered mafia money, ya think he's got a target on his head. He's also sure to get sued from former clients and investors...this protects him from having to testify, his silence can be assured. In short, his life is probably would last longer in a Club Fed than in his Manhattan penthouse.

23. Well since the judge said he won't be sentencing him
for months, he has more than enough time to make all the necessary arrangements to prevent himself from ever going to prison.

24. Whatever Happens His Secrets Go With Him
No surprise if we hear that Madoff somehow suffers some sudden heart attack or other fatal illness or just plain vanishes. Ya know there's lots of burried treasure off shore...he probably mailed checks to blind boxes just waiting for pick-up. As Elvis and Ken Lay can tell you, death can be a very profitable career move.

The shame is not having a full investigation...discovery and then forcing him to testify on the stand. A lot of those who enabled him can breath a little easier.

:hi:
