His argument is extremely good. Weed must be legalized or the violence will spread to America...oh wait, maybe that's what's fueling the gang violence on our streets, you know, just like prohibition?

This video is in the top 5 pages of popular vids on youtube. I guess it's because everyone with a modicum of common sense agrees with him?

1. No there isn't.
A turd with a cherry on top isn't suddenly fit for dessert.

4. Bravo
beck is a turd of the highest order. Just another "conservative" coward who has never done anything for our country and who would be chronically unemployed if it weren't for his constitution hating listeners.

2. You know the saying about a broken clock?
Being right 2 out of 86400 is a matter of sheer luck on Beck's part. That still leaves him wrong 86398 times a day.

5. It won't happen unless conservatives start melting resistance on their side, too.
I'm no fan of Beck but don't discount the signficance of a conservative talk show host filling his listener's ears with talk of legalizing marijuana and eradicating the 'drug war.' I don't really feel like waiting till all the baby boomers die for something to happen on this issue. And without support from the conservative side of the aisle, I don't think anything will happen. We can scream and holler common sense all we want, but the democrats in Congress know we'll keep voting for them whether they do anything about the WoD or not. It's the conservative side that has to be pushed in the direction of legalization and ending the WoD ... then the (D) politicians will finally act to 'take charge' of the issue. Watch and hope ... our country NEEDS to pull the rug out from under all those who thrive on the 'war on drugs.'

6. Neh, he's just another one of those pesky semi-Libertarian types like MAHER
Apparently, what they really are are Epicureans, who are willing to indulge in all pleasures(sic), such as fucking COULTERgeist and doing mind chemistry, while being a-holes on social justice issues.

7. there is no hope at all for Beck. None. He's a nasty bigoted piece of work
and that he supports legalizing pot does NOT change that.

8. Isn't it funny how just because somebody says "legalize weed" and suddenly all the hateful
things they have said and done in the past are forgotten. Sorry, no hope for this guy.

10. national review
is the conservative flagship and started advocated legalizing weed DECADES ago.

personally, i always read it, along with the nation, to get the POV's from the established tomes in both camps. i read reason mag for the same reason (the libertarian flagship).

nothing wrong with finding common ground, and there are a LOT of conservatives who are for legalization/decrim of weed.

fwiw, i am a police officer and i know TONS of cops who believe the same thing.

and the amount of revenue that could be generated, goodwill too, from decrim/legalization is immense.

holder/obama have taken a good first step by pledging not to raid medical mj clinics (legal under state law in many states, but illegal under federal law).

11. He's still ass in a dead carcass.
Sure, gangs will suddenly stop fighting each other. You betcha. Violence will end. We'll all sing kumbaya, hand in hand with gang-bangers.

And I got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya.

Dirt cheap.

And some land in Florida to put it on.
