We have not had a healthy 2 party system since Eisenhower, maybe Kennedy. This cult of personality needs to go-it is not the sign of a healthy party or system and dare I say it-I mean including Barack Obama. Talent and ideas need to be continually cultivated. Congress needs to think of the country first, local needs next, and reelection last.

my neighbor is a journalist for a British news agency and he covers both the Democratic and repug conventions. He says that after so many years on that beat he can peg a repug just by looking at their eyes. He says "it's like looking at a flat, featureless wall. NOTHING gets in there. They've made up their mind long ago and facts will never change it". You can see that very phenomenon just by looking at that photo.
