Neil Boortz says American's are stupid and shouldn't be allowed to vote..
I was channel surfing yesterday while driving back from Charleston Sc when I ran across the Neil Boortz show.. Since I like to occasionally listen to what the rightwingers have to say I listened for a while.. And boy was I surprised at Neil's statements.

He believed that most American's were stupid(because of government schools) and that since these American's were stupid they shouldn't be allowed to VOTE!!

No wonder people like Boortz are talking to a smaller and smaller audience these days and the GOP is lost..

5. that idiot has been saying that for years
I once wrote him that the true test for whether someone should be allowed to vote was whether or not an (R) followed their name. That would be the litmus test for discerning one's intelligence, or lack thereof.

9. He does realize who was President from 1980 to 1988 and who was President from 2000 to 2008, right?
I've never heard liberals and Democrats bad mouth the electorate the way I've heard conservatives and Republicans do it.

Right after the 2004 election.

11. As I recall, we called our country and our countrymen stupid many times after 2004.
People who lose elections often believe the fault lies entirely with the electorate, and not with their own political abilities.

18. Hasn't Bill Maher more or less (perhaps in jest) advocated the same?
I mean, realistically, there are many who can't believe that America just sat by passively and obediently as they did throughout Bush/Cheney's reign of terror.

That aside, Bush was never technically elected in 00 or 04, so the minority % of the populace that bothers to vote still had it right, as it pertains to the lesser of evils, the last three elections.

25. The American public IS stupid. What needs to happen...
is to put an end to the lying by the Limbaughs and Boortzes..., the corporations, news media and Republicans in our government. Bring back and beef up the fairness doctrine.

The government could certainly do a lot more to educate the public on issues.
