For those who have seen "The Dark Knight". Do you think that movie is sort of apologetic of Bush?

That whole thing with how in crisis the roman empire would appoint a dictator kind of sounded like they are trying to justify the Bush administration.

1. Most things these days from Hollywood are like that
Movies are now big business rather than art. The good people have all been run out of town.

3. Me either
and though it has been a long time since I saw the movie, I could swear they said 'defender' and not 'dictator'.

6. No.
George Bush was not a character in the movie.

7. Nope
Do you recall the part where he had the surveillance set up all over Gotham and Bruce was told that no one should have that kind of power? He eventually had the whole system destroyed. That was a pretty clear message IMO.

8. Eventually yes. But after using it for the purpose he built it for.
Could be read as "its ok to do it as long as you quit doing it after the crisis is over." or am I wrong?

9. Most of the concepts
are in the Batman comics. Including the "Brother Eye" surveillance.
You are reading a political slant that wasn't there. It was more Psychology and Philosophy.
