Are the wingnuts targeting Michelle Obama?

Yesterday, I did a post on how Michelle's sleeveless gowns and sculptured arms were the target of wingnut attacks.

But for the life of me, I can't recall during my lifetime any First Lady being verbally attacked by the media, the public or the political opposition.

And yes, there was the occasional snide comment about Laura Bush. And there was the outrage about Barbara Bush's comment about Katrina survivors being warehoused in the Superdome ("... this is working out so well for them"). But that was after she was no longer the First Lady.

Call me paranoid, but I get the feeling that the "sleeveless gown/sculptured arms" issue was only the beginning.

Presidents are fair game. But attacking the First Lady? To me this is disgusting, despicable and only something that would be used as a tactic by scum that call themselves "Republicans."

I may be jumping the gun here, but keep your eyes and ears open. I truly believe that it's just a matter of time before they start slinging mud at Michelle.

We can only hope they'll leave the kids alone, although Limbaugh did attack (then) 13-year old Chelsea Clinton.

And when it starts, we must respond with every ounce of outrage and anger we possess.

It's their way. When they do, all we have to do is to make sure that they get lots of publicity for their attacks. People all across the country will be offended by their nonsense.

And I also forgot the cruelty with which they attacked Hillary.

I hope I'm wrong, but I get the feeling that Michelle is going to be living in a hurricane of hatred for the next four (eight?) years.

And it's up to us to do everything possible to expose her attackers for the miserable, low-life pigs they are.

was the Family guy episode where they talk about how "Laura Bush killed a guy" "Yes, Laura Bush killed a guy". I think that was last year. So I would say it isn't unheard of.

OMG, it was TERRIBLE! They literally accused her of murdering Vince Foster, among other things.
