And that's about it.

1. I'll give him a little credit for admitting he screwed up.
Not much, but a little.

2. Yes. But of course it's patently obvious that he did.
He could've ducked Jon, though, and in the end decided not to.

He's still a slimeball though.

4. Cramer's buddies will throw him a pity party and use the time to trash Jon Stewart.
Edited on Thu Mar-12-09 10:30 PM by ShortnFiery
Cramer is a sociopath and only came on for the mea culpa inorder to "meet standard" = to continue doing what he's been doing, i.e., pushing the great fleecing of America by the power elite.

14. I won't
that was clearly his plan. Give Jon a little then change the subject get the audience on his side. Jon was ready for it and just kept hitting Cramer with not the fake topic that Cramer and CNBC created. But the real subject at hand. Why did CNBC and all these other networks (who clearly knew what was going on) tell their audience nothing until it was way to late.

3. I was expecting a light and funny interview.
Maybe he was too.

But light and funny it was not. Stewart came out and destroyed him.

5. Probably the most uncomfortable viewing of tv since Jon Stewart was on Crossfire
But I watched because it was as necessary now as it was back then. I do give Jim Cramer credit for showing up.

15. Sorry to be so harsh but I grew up among some vicious libertarian right wingers.
When the enemy FIGURATIVELY exposes their soft belly, go in for the kill lest you be their prey at the very next opportunity. You can't let "corrupt power" scamper back into the woodwork when wounded because they have no conscious about destroying you once they have recovered.

Good job Jon Stewart! No slack.

6. Cramer seemed to be falling on his sword
Throughout the interview he kept deflecting Jon's criticisms of CNBC to him personally. It's almost like Cramer was sent out to take all the flack to protect the rest of the tools on the network.

Cramer will be lucky to have a job by the end of next week. CNBC will be lucky to be broadcasting a week later.

21. No, Cramer and CNBC will keep on keeping on, because
the CEOs they feature pay them to do it. That's the point that Stewart didn't hit hard enough. The guys Cramer talks to. The guys who "lie" to Cramer are Cramer's employers -- directly or indirectly. CNBC really is just one big infomercial. It isn't like an infomercial. It is an infomercial. The Bear Stearns guy, among others, went on CNBC to advertise his company's stock. It's just infomercials, but it masquerades as independent TV. Most infomercials try to fool you, but don't succeed. CNBC really fools people. And every once in a while, they hit a company hard -- just to make themselves more credible. But in the end they are just one long, long infomercial.

16. I've been studying Cramer for years...
he did NOT "make mistakes" here...he was in on the action for years and then became their mouthpiece. He's a criminal and has no conscience whatsoever. For anyone who pity's this man, think of his victims. Please.

22. I think Cramer didn't expect a hard hitting interview on a comedy show.
After all, Cramer previously said Jon's just a "comedian."

Cramer getting his ass handed to him by Jon Stewart, priceless.

and i'm not sure he is getting the bigger point that Jon is making about what they should do as a news organization.

27. it IS personal
yes, Jon was making a larger point and that is correct. However. Cramer knows he PERSONALLY helped steal a hell of a lot of wallets by being propaganda for the devil and calling it "expert advice and news".

Cramer SHOULD take it personal. So should every single other person who holds themselves up as serious journalists who sat by and either didn't challenge the lies or flat out aided and abetted.
