Poll question: SPOILER POLL based on TDS slaughter.
Edited on Thu Mar-12-09 10:39 PM by Parker CA
So, that was one of the most epic take downs of a "professional" by any comedian or media figure I have ever seen.

Simple poll. Will the appearance and show end Cramer's career?

5. I just posted my own poll
I predict Cramer will be indicted because of tonight's telecast. If Martha Stewart went to jail for OOJ over what -- a couple hundred thousand dollar transaction -- and Cramer admits ON CAMERA to manipulating the stock market, he's done.

8. Between the market collapse, the exposure of CNBC
and this interview with Stewart, I would presume Cramer's schtick on CNBC as he's conducted himself up until now is finished.

It would be my guess, given Cramer's spin that he was trying to 'expose' what was going on, is legal CYA on his part. Whether or not he keeps his t.v. gig may be beside the point. He may be looking to avoid jail and lawsuits.

9. I voted yes, but...
Yes, it will end his career... as we know it.

He'll still be doing his show, but it will be different. I doubt he'll be indicted, but I think Cramer has realized that things have to be different now. I suspect he knew it was coming, with how poorly the public feels about these slimy financial types these days. I mean, Madoff pled guilty today. People are cheering! No, I think Cramer is going to change his tune. Whether or not CNBC also wakes up and changes itself or simply gets rid of Cramer will yet to be seen.

10. It was GREAT and it should end it career, but no :(
In this country, there are enough people that follow this prick that he will continue. Sad, but true.

11. Highly unlikely.
Sadly, he'll probably get a bounce from folks wanting to watch that crackpot's show. The SEC isn't going to do anything about what he said he did on that video. Lastly, our powers-that-be are far too complicit to actually do anything in the first place.

Lastly, and most depressingly, the fact is that he knows how to play the system. There will always be someone out there willing to pay a game player like that when it comes to securities. It's why I got out of the business 15-ish years ago.
