NEW YORK – Jon Stewart hammered Jim Cramer and his network, CNBC, in their anticipated face-off on "The Daily Show," repeatedly chastising the "Mad Money" host for putting entertainment above journalism.
"I understand that you want to make finance entertaining, but it's not a ... game," Stewart told Cramer, adding in an expletive during the show's Thursday taping. The episode was scheduled to air at 11 p.m. EDT on Comedy Central.
It was perhaps the hardest lashing Stewart has given to a TV commentator since 2004 when he called Tucker Carlson and his then co-host Paul Begala "partisan hacks" on CNN's "Crossfire," the since canceled political commentary program.
Cramer was sad. He didn't defend himself. He probably killed his career long-term. 1 posted on Thu Mar 12 22:29:55 2009 by aynrandfreak < Post Reply | Private Reply | View Replies> To: aynrandfreak repeatedly chastising the "Mad Money" host for putting entertainment above journalism.

Stewart is a lib, but he’s no dummy. He wiped Cramer all over the floor. That was a severe verbal beat-down by Stewart.

Naw, he was much harder on Christ Matthews about a year ago. It was awesome. 6 posted on Thu Mar 12 22:36:53 2009 by xjcsa (Currently shouting "I told you so" about Michael Steele on my profile page.) < Post Reply | Private Reply | To 1 | View Replies> To: aynrandfreak
Let me get this straight: Jon Stewart, a man who makes his living making the news entertaining is criticizing someone else for doing the same? Are Liberals born without a sense of irony and/or shame or do they have it surgically removed?

Gee, Wally, I wonder why Stewart doesn't think the same thing about The War on Terror.
Gosh, Beav, it's because he's a f***ing left-wing wacko, why do you think. 8 posted on Thu Mar 12 22:37:22 2009 by Texas Eagle (If it wasn't for double-standards, Liberals would have no standards at all. -- Texas Eagle) < Post Reply | Private Reply | To 1 | View Replies> To: aynrandfreak
Who the hell appointed Jon Stewart the arbiter of all things moral?

Jon Stewart is a swishy little metrosexual b!tch.

What I find in interesting is how Stewart had probably never, EVER even mentioned Cramer’s name on air before now. Stewart probably didn’t even know who the hell Cramer was.
THEN... Cramer criticizes Hussein, and Stewart is all over him. I wonder if Stewart is on the White House payroll, or is he just freelancing for his own ideological reasons.
Stewart is in the same league as Olberwoman. The only difference between them is Stewart is short.

Funny, Stewart never bothered to do that when Cramer was trashing Bush last year.

Is there anyone more annoying and obnoxious than John Stewart? The guy makes my skin crawl. When I am flipping through the channels and happen to land on his show, I cannot watch for more than 30 seconds. The guy just totally repulses me. Regardless of his political views, the guy just comes off as obnoxious jackass.......

Cramer also told people to sell all their stocks and put money into bonds and cash last fall. No one did it because we all are greedy. But I give the devil his due, even if he was only half serious, it felt like a really dumb thing to do then, losing maybe 10% of of value, but it seems genius now.
Jon Stewart. Pfft.

Yeah, what’s this all about? You’d think the Joint Chiefs of Staff were having a throw-down.
Don’t even know who this Cramer is, but why is Jon so bent over this? Residual rage over Madoff?

You will also see increased charges of racism when one disagrees with BHO.
And eventually the fruits of his policies are going to hit the sleeping public and then you will see the real BHO come out. Stewart is just part of the Hermann Goebbels Propaganda Choir composed of Obama colored brown shirts. Chrissie Matthews is another, along with Keith Elderman, CBS, etc.

nothing personal to Jewish freepers but Stewart epitomizes a very witty comedic Jewish guy who has run his mouth all his life but has never had to cash the check
a sure sign of an upper middle class upbringing....demean folks with impunity Stewart (unlike Cramer maybe) would crumble at the first blow

No.
Steven Colbert has is deadpan shtick. Bill Maher is actually intelligent at times, with flashes of libertarian brilliance. Dennis Miller has cynicism as humor nailed, probably because he is smiling the whole time.
But Stewart has nothing but rudeness. He is a modern day insult comic with the a fake news show. But it is worse than that. Stewart has a meanness to him often manifested by projection, which probably comes from severe insecurity and an intense self-loathing. He is Jewish and short. I guess he just couldn't deal with it. But insult comics Don Rickels and Jackie Mason are both Jewish and short, and they are able to be funny. 28 posted on Thu Mar 12 23:09:01 2009 by magellan < Post Reply | Private Reply | To 14 | View Replies> To: aynrandfreak
Cramer’s mistake was criticizing Obama. He thought he could get away with it because he is a big Democrat.
The Dems and their willing accomplices, the MSM, are now destroying him. This is a big SITYS for Rush

Rickles is the best Jewish comic in history.
Winters and Newhart are not Jewish I don’t think....could wrong....along with Rickles they are my trifecta
it’s no cosmic accident Jews make such great comics....born with greased synpases I reckon
