but the M$M is pure repuke propaganda wall-to-wall lately. You'd think the repukes had WON in 2008. Until (swallow hard, hold nose) Tweety, and then Keith and Rachel, the corpo yacking class is shilling HARD for the repuke tax-cut and trickle-down crowd.

I think their stalking of Obama will make what they did to Clinton look like a nice backrub.

I usually never watch corpo "news" during the day, but today, I happened to turn on Andrea (what a horrid, talentless hack) Mitchell and then switched briefly to CNN. It was like passing by a gory car wreck. I just couldn't turn away. Fifteen minutes solid of repuke talking point after repuke talking point after repuke talking point. :puke:

6. The only reasonable targets are the mouthpieces themselves. The networks, etc. are
untouchable because of their size and wealth.

But the people - are vulnerable. That is where impact is possible.

10. If the ownership structure isn't changed, new people with the same bad attitudes will emerge
Also: We need the Fairness Doctrine back.

Yes we do.

12. Not if individual spewers are afraid to take the job. And the owners can be targeted as well.
My point is that the corporation cannot be affected, but the people involved can be.

13. They thought the same thing about "Ma Bell". All it takes is the will to do it.
The mechanisms and precedents are already in place.

3. If Obama had any Lewinsky's in his closet, they would have been released by now
Hell, I'm surprised they didn't find a former white girlfriend just to stir up the racists (but I guess they figured they already had that vote nailed down).

4. I would say they didn't show opposing Dem views going into Iraq, but
then there weren't many Dems who offered any opposition..

anything the M$M attempts to spoon feed us. They are becoming irrelevant to the national dialog.

They can spin and sputter all they want but only the far right win margins are profoundly disrespecting OUR Government.

Todo has pulled back the curtain and revealed the UGLY, WHORISH, CORPORATE, and CONSOLIDATED MEDIA.

Us "chattering classes" are not listening to the M$M. And that's a good thing! :-)

7. I don't think generations of operant conditioning have been overcome
quite that completely.

Here's hoping that we're making some progress though.

8. The Internet was a fledgling when Monica was blowing Bill.
It's a different age now.

I don't quite think the corporate mainstream media realizes how much we talk about them behind their backs and call them on their utter bullshit.

Still, there is so much to be overcome.

9. I haven't been able to watch...
in quite a while, but I know it's getting worse..just by what I read here. I think the internet will soon follow the way of cable news, with sites like Politico. As real print journalists find themselves out of work, I wonder if we'll have a complete black-out of relevant news.
