Here's my Glen Beck story. On vacation and driving from Spokane to Portland during the summer of 07. Nothing but right-wing talk on the airwaves so the wife and I decide to listen to GB for awhile. I'll never forgot what I heard. Now I realize that many people don't enjoy foreign films that have subtitles. I, on the other hand, love foreign films and had been a big fan of Swedish director Ingmar Bergman for most of my life. On the day that he died, Glen Beck had the audacity and incredibly poor taste to mock the man's death AND to insult Bergman's fans. His reason? He felt that the news of the death a groundbreaking and brilliant filmmaker wasn't important enough to include in the "top of the hour" news, that it was taking up a few precious minutes that could otherwise be spent reporting on some other more "important" issue. What an idiot. This jerk must have a brain the size of a pea. My wife said this idiot was probably just jealous of those who can read subtitles.

Born in Mount Vernon, Washington, Glenn Beck was raised a Roman Catholic. He graduated from Sehome High School in Bellingham, Washington in 1982.

His early life was pitted with tragedies. His mother committed suicide when he was 13. One of his brothers-in-law also committed suicide. Another sibling reportedly had a fatal heart attack.
