I was at least thinking "Tweety" would have to comment. I'm hoping Keith or Rachel will. This thing (the interview has been burning up the "internets" since the interview occurred. Beforehand, they were all talking about it. After the interview... Crickets.
I don't believe that even Rush or Hannity touched this. BUT.
We'll talk about Nicole, the border, anything except the ramifications of last night's showdown with Jon and Cramer. That is if the "we" is a corporate owned media station.
It appears that Jon may have shown his viewers more than they, or even he, bargained for.
I'll have to give up a little for Jim Cramer. I just watched the interview again and paid special attention to Cramer's body language. He came onto the set defeated. He tried to appease Jon at every turn. And there was something else. Something else.
I really feel he wanted to spill the beans on something and just couldn't take a deep enough breath to steel his resolve. Cramer knew he'd done wrong and he was there to take the first dose of medicine. Only the first dose but he behaved and looked as if there were other doses coming. god knows what, but before all is said and done, I think he'll get it and we'll know what the medicine was for.
I may be totally wrong on this but I work at home and I've been bouncing back and forth between CNN and MSNBC and have barely heard a mention. Any day of the week you can check out DU's greatest page and get an idea of what the cable news channels will be speaking about that evening.
Not this time.
I think Jon may have upset a lot of "important" people and they are trying to make last night go away as quickly as possible. If it weren't for the fact that Viacom is hoping for higher advertising revenues, I doubt we'd see that much of the interview on the CC website.
So congratulations again, Jon. Last night you weren't the penultimate journalist of the day. You were the ultimate. And I believe you became toxic to some people with money.
