According to this ditwit, Obama is a socialist and our country is doomed.


I have no doubt in my heart that Obama IS a socialist, but he is finding
out that Americans do not line up behind that banner. There have been
numerous attempts at establishing socialist utopias in this country,
most notably in the 19th century, and every single attempt has failed.
We left Europe to get away from monarchies, and the various other types
of government that rode roughshod over the rights of the individual
citizen. Americans were not "subjects" then and don't want to be now.

Arguably the most successful socialist state is Sweden, but even they
have been forced to admit that socialism didn't work, and in recent
years they have been moving more toward capitalism. When the state
provides everything for the citizen, regardless of how sincere their
efforts might be, sooner or later the state begins dictating to that
citizen what he must do, and how he must do it. You lose your right to
make decisions for your own well being based on your own preferences,
and instead must subject yourself to control by the state. Our Founding
Fathers repeatedly warned against such things. As Franklin said: "Those
who give up liberties in exchange for security, deserve neither."

Obama has been in office for only about 50 days now, and his
administration is already starting to unravel. It is becoming readily
apparent that about the only thing he can do is make pretty speeches
(but only if he has a teleprompter!) and spend our future generations
money. The way he is going now, we will be damn lucky to survive the
next four years. He reminds me more than anything else of Nero Caesar
playing his lyre while Rome burned down around him.

I swear, one of the few times I heard Hannity, he was arguing with someone and said "somebody in the same Democratic Party you belong to said ...". I said to myself, what a childish debater Sean Hannity is if the best he can do to smear an opponent is to hold them accountable to a group that literally has millions of different opinions. He is a great hero for the Reich Wing.

And all because Obama wants to repeal some tax cuts on the wealthy and expand health care?
