CNN's Willis falsely claimed "household net worth ... dropped by almost 18 percent since last year"
http://mediamatters.org/items/200903130031?f=h_latest

Summary: On American Morning, Gerri Willis falsely claimed that "household net worth, according to the Federal Reserve, down almost 18 percent since last year." In fact, household net worth decreased by 18 percent in 2008 -- not 2009.

1. You're expecting accuracy out of Certainly Not News?
They've gone way downhill from what they were in the beginning.

3. Why Let Needless Facts Ruin A Good Plot Line...
If people haven't seen it by now, they never will...teevee is pure eye candy now..."news" wrapped up in a pretty package that is meant strictly to amuse rather than inform. It's to titilate before it will explain. It will exploit as to create a story even where one doesn't exist or find "facts" that can be bent to fit their agenda.

One major reason I've stopped watching Chicken Noodle Nuze is how they determine the story first and find the "facts" or guests to fit in where needed. This is especially the case in their "medical" and "financial" reports that are almost always sponsored by some high roller who surely won't roll the dimes for a report that doesn't make them look good. When the markets boomed, those "financial" advisors cheerlead the greed and market games...and now they play concern trolls? Spare me!!!

Cheers...

4. That way, CNN can blame Obama.
That's the GOP action plan: "Blame Obama."

It worked before: "Blame Clinton."
