Haven't Republicans been mocking the 9 principles of the "We Surround Them" movement since Day 1?

1. America is good.

Remember this at the "Values" Voter Debate?

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

"The wackos get their information through the Christian right, Christian radio, mail, the internet and telephone trees. Simply put, we want to bring out the wackos to vote against something and make sure the rest of the public lets the whole thing slip past them."
- Michael Scanlon, Abramoff buddy, and aide to Tom DeLay

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

Then, today is a good day to start.

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

And that would include gay families as well, right?

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

Anyone else see something wrong here?

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

And maybe conservatives can start respecting those first 3 rights.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

Unless, it's Big Oil, Wall Street, or contractors in Iraq that need some "charity"

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

http://majikthise.typepad.com/majikthise_/2007/02/don_youngs_fake.html

"When I, when I, when I hear somebody talking about our military and ridiculing and saying terrible things about our President, I'm thinking you know just a little bit of that and I believe the Lord would forgive me if I popped him."
- Jerry Falwell

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

I wouldn't have a problem with this movement if it formed, oh I don't know, years ago. But, as soon as a Republican takes the White House and/or Congress becomes Republican, it can be a sure bet that the "We surround them" will just disappear. Either the "We surround them" movement can reject the Republican Party and social conservatives, or they are as much the hypocrites as probably everyone thinks they are.

2. Let's Start A "We're Surrounded" Movement
Perhaps they'll be happy with the acknowledgment and go away.
