C-SPIN: Do You Trust Business News???
They're showing excerpts of the Thursday show...and now the question...

So did CNBC "fail" its audience?

The calls should be fun...

2. I wonder if it isn't more a case of: Do you trust Business disclosure?
Like Warren Buffet says, he can read an annual report and examine all the numbers, but when he gets to the part where the company talks about its derivative holdings, he realizes he doesn't know a thing.

We all know these types of vehicles exist now and we know who has them, but we still don't know exactly what it does to their potential risks.

Its lack of transparency that is the problem.

4. The Hypocrisy Of The "Free Market"
By removing these regulations that kept the banks and market from becoming a gambling casino, we were sold that this would open these companies up to more transparancy. Unhinged from those evil government regulators, it would be the stockholders that would become the "regulators". If a company was run well, the stock went up, if it wasn't then it would fail. So much for that big lie!

We damn well know that a lot of this money just didn't vanish...it's in some very large off shore accounts. Its why the Treasury is scared shit of releasing the names of who got bail out funds...it would start the paper trail that is sure to end up in some very big personal accounts.

Cheers...

5. Pump & Dump!!!
A great caller pointing out the game Greed Central specializes in. Talk up a stock, get the fishes on the hook and let them hang.

How many of these "experts" ever disclose their true interests? Most pay their way on for the airtime or reward the network with a nice commercial buy. It's no hidden secret, either.

6. They will hang up on anyone who calls a Republican an asshole
A guy calls Dana Perino a liar and the phone goes dead. Another caller gets hung up on because of his angry tone. But when a Republican caller calls Jon Stewart a "punk" the conversation goes on like today was sunday and love prevails across the land.
