'The Daily Show': Jon Stewart-Jim Cramer showdown nets big ratings
by Joshua Rich

Thursday night's anticipated appearance by CNBC financial guru Jim Cramer on Comedy Central's The Daily Show With Jon Stewart netted big ratings, the cable network announced on Friday. The program drew a crowd of some 2.3 million viewers, making it the year's second-most-watched Daily Show installment, after the episode that aired on Inauguration Day (which garnered 2.6 million pairs of eyeballs). Overall, it was among the top 10 shows in the 12 1/2-year history of the fake news program.

1. That rating is nothing compared to the online viewing.
Most people I know heard about this.

4. "What people don't seem to get ...
...is that this wasn't Jon Stewart yelling at Jim Cramer - it was the American public yelling at Wall Street and saying we won't be your chumps any more." -- DanOregon Fri, Mar 13, 2009 at 10:40 PM EST

5. I'd like to thank Cramer
for making the rounds ahead of time to publicize the show. That was awesome of him.
