Anyone catch the Simpsons subtle slam on O'Reilly?
The Kent Brockman character was covering a solar eclipse in Springfield live on the air, then went on a rant, delcaring "there's an eclipse when I SAY there's an eclispe!"

Then he throws his jacket off and storms off the set. The animation was a direct copy of Billo storming off the set during his Inside Edition meltdown.

One of those things you catch a few seconds after it happened, then burst out laughing when you realize what transpired.

Damn, I love that show! :)

1. I know that's a false headline because there's nothing subtle about the Simpsons.

2. No, but the random little zingers do zip by pretty quickly . . .
And if you're not paying attention, you might miss 'em.

Which is why the show doesn't get more complaints from the no-opposable-thumb crowd that favors Fox's news programming -- they never noticed they've been dissed.

Er, maybe I meant bitter and jaded and completely full of yourself... I always get those confused ;-)

6. I wondered what that was about.
The Simpsons was much better than usual tonight.

I liked the big yellow tag sign on the building that said "PEST BYE" where Homer got rat poison.

That's almost as good as the store where Homer bought a gun -- Bloodbath & Beyond.
