1. A bit sappy and simple-minded, but not really so bad
I don't see a huge problem with his views here.

2. he is entitled to his views, but doing a show for Fox News,
and then complaining about a movie he admits he hasn't seen qualifies him for asshat status.

3. You don't think he has a point?
I think Hollywood for the most part suffers from some delusions about what the military is like.

4. Ever notice that those who claim to love the military never served?
Apparently these right-wingers love the military only up to a point. Much easier to "love" the military when you're only pretending to be wearing a uniform in a movie instead of actually wearing one in real life.

6. I've never much cared for Sinise.
But it does seem to me he's overlooking the fact that the war in Iraq is A LIE. Based on lies, fabricated "evidence" designed to start a war because Bush wanted one.

That's what needs to be made into a movie...in a courtroom.

8. He is collecting pencils and gets no attention for this positive
act in a sea of Hell, and can't figure out why? What a bubble he lives in.

7. I see a flaw in part of that argument.
He makes this claim in the article.

"Sinise says he’s also fighting the specter of Abu Ghraib, the photos of American soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners."That became the face of the American military in the media, and that couldn't’t be farther from the truth, as a whole,” he says."

I agree many if not most soldiers would have found a way to fight the injustice at Abu Ghraib, they would have tried to find some way to stop what was sure to be a terrible event in American History, even if that attempt was just to get pictures out to the world, to stop those responsible.

But to free America from blame, we would have to say that those that advocated those policies are held accountable, instead we see them speaking on CNN like they are statesmen (Cheney).

If America, as a whole, is not responsible, then why do some Americans, elevate the people that openly admit to the actions, and why do the rest of Americans not hold those that did such things to account?

We do not have the luxury of saying we oppose something, as we ignore the crimes of those that supported those actions.
