1. One can learn from anybody.
Often, though, it's learning what not to do.

4. Of course she went the opposite way.
Reagan was GREAT don't you know!

That's why I called it what it is, bullshit.

2. Only as an example of what not to do.
Imitating him will get Obama out of office in 2012.

9. I learned a lot from Reagan, and try to live every day the opposite of him.
Vile, racist, murdering, lying piece of shit.

10. I wasn't really paying attention, though I had it on. It seemed to be a question of style
not of substance.

Even Candidate Obama made similar statements during the primaries.

13. No, the Reagan similarity that Obama mentioned was of the need to be
a game changer. It was not about style. Reagan was the epitome of style over substance.

14. In what respect, Andrea?
If we wanted another "Reagan" in the WH, we sure as hell would NOT have voted for Obama, so what the hell does she think Obama might *learn* from Reagan- other than, of course, NOT being like him?

This reminds of some junk that Monica Crowley was perpetuating on her radio program sometime last month when she was complaining about that Obama wasn't all "sunny" and optimistic like Reagan apparently was. Apparently, there seems to be a MASSIVE blind spot in both Mitchell and Crowley's cracked rear view mirror when it comes to evaluating Reagan's presidency in regards to what he actually accomplished and what actually happened during his Presidency. The only theory that I've been able to come up with to explain why so many pundits and GOPers have elevated the man to virtual sainthood is that he helped make the aristocracy in this country feel "sunny" and optimistic about their greed and their potential for ever-increasing wealth.

15. Only in America, and Russia, and Italy, and some other totalitarian societies
does the mastermind of looting the treasury has a wife being paid to spread his propaganda. They have no shame.

16. What, say one thing and do another?
I just finished reading "Tear Down This Myth", by Will Bunch: it jogged my memory about details of the Reagan era I forgot. If Obama can do the same - i.e., take credit for work others have done while deflecting all blame for his failures - he'll certainly be reaganesque. He'll have to talk entirely in platitudes about an America that never was.
