Our company health insurance rate just got jacked up 25%.
Conseco has now raised our rates two years in a row, for a total of 60%. We're paying more for a bare-bones catastrophic-only PPO (read: not covered) than we were for a full-scale HMO five years ago.

The rep on the phone gaily said "costs are going up!"

I replied that they weren't. I told her that what was happening was last-minute profit-taking by criminals who know the gig's up, pretty soon.

She swiftly lost her humorous tone.

I remember the original Gauss study on HMO's -- effective delivery system, until you make it for-profit.

I look forward to the day when there is no such thing as a 'health insurance company'.

2. That's unbelievable!
Can you drop them?

Learn everything you can about HR 676, Single Payer, Universal Health Care. It's Medicare for All and it's the only way to go.

4. And our agent drove up in his BMW and said the same thing --- rates going up!
Good comeback btw.

And I work in education where we belong to a coop of schools; still, insurance costs have been climbing so rapidly that I have seen a 200% increase in my out-of-pocket premiums and that is after the state kicks in for their share of my insurance.

GREED will always keep going up!

5. Health Care is wall street's current 'bubble target'.
The criminal HMOs, PPOs, Doctors, Medical Groups, hospitals, BIG Pharma and the other crooks that make up the health care system are out to screw the hell out of all of US before this bubble bursts with a nationalized health care plan. When is congress going to STOP aiding and abetting wall street with the economic and financial annihilation of the American people? WHEN? WHEN? I GD want to know WHEN? Is there a bottle of Merlot or Cabernet in the house; I gotta calm down......damn no good SOB crooked bastards!

6. Blue Cross announced 30% up from April.
It seems like they are determined to dig their own graves.
