When how did the White House reporters get so AGGRESSIVE concerned probing?!1
I confess I haven't watched these (daily briefings?) since the Election, but under Shrub his press corps was a CORPSE, so deferential to the Press Secretary, so yucking it up, so polite!1

Just now this thing was populated by "reporters" who were aggressive, plain PUSHY, and oh-so-probing and dripping with "concern"!1 This would not have flown with Tony SNOWjob, PERINO, or even Scotty.

'splain the difference!1

2. Yup.
The press doesn't go through waves of varying concern over honesty or lack thereof in politics.

They just back the pukes in any way they can.

5. Tis true. The 'reporters' are blow-dry corporate pay-check ass kissers
Edited on Mon Mar-16-09 03:03 PM by SpiralHawk
With knees bent, they do the bidding of their right-wing corporate pay masters.

They do not serve the truth. They do not serve the citizens of the USA. They serve the Republicon Corporate Borg.

And that is why they have no cred. That is why the so-called 'news' business is dying a pathetic death at the hands of the Intertubes.

4. There's been a small difference
In the past, they sometimes asked the Bush press secretaries a question a couple of times or a couple of different ways. But they'd get stone-walled and move on. "I'm not going to speculate" or "There's an ongoing investigation, so it wouldn't be appropriate to comment," followed inevitably by "Well, that's over and done with, in the past, and I'm not going to re-hash the whole event" once the investigation was over and another Bushie was going to prison.

What might have broken things up would be a complete refusal by the press corpse to "move on" until they'd gotten some kind of answer. But you'd be better off herding dandelion seeds on a breezy summer afternoon than getting reporters to act in concert.

With Obama, it seems that while they get an answer, if they don't like the answer, they just ask the question again. And they keep asking, hoping there will be some variant that they can latch onto and trumpet the hypocrisy of the Obama administration. Something they never, e-e-e-e-ever did to the Bush administration.
