Edited on Mon Mar-16-09 04:40 PM by spanone
i saw it, but like matthews, i missed this little gem from mr. gaffney......paraphrasing...'there's also indications that saddam hussein was connected to the oklahoma city bombings'....

this is absolutely insane

he said with a straight face. he appears to be a somewhat intelligent man....what does he gain from such ridiculous lies?

1. He said THAT?
I watched that show last week, and between bouts of explosive vomiting, I managed to get through the Gaffney (hurl) interview, and I missed that, too.

So, Tweety's showing it again? Good. Good. I'll watch it at seven. Thanks for the heads-up.

First, I must get my favorite bucket....................

3. Whoa.........
Good for Tweety, but if he has that fucking Gaffney on again, after this bullshit, I am giving up on him forever.

Again, thanks.

5. I saw that the other week and was shocked that it was let to stand
So I appreciated them revisiting it today.

It was part of last weeks attempts by the cabal to rehabilitate W's ... no, let's make that Cheney's policies.

I'm so glad that he likened Gaffney to the tinfoil hat bunch.

7. It's a standard item in the Mylroie/Gaffney fairy tale about Iraq
they link it because after the first Gulf war a whole bunch of elite Iraq military were relocated to Oklahoma City. True story. Turning it into a causus belli is another matter entirely.

8. What does he gain with the lies?
He gains what the Republicans and neocons all gain -- they control the narrative (in this case, "Saddam Hussein was a bad man, and he was involved in terrorism in the US" -- even though the latter is patently false); and as a bonus, they continue to muddy the waters, making it difficult for the clarity of truth to break through into the collective consciousness.

They do it on purpose. They don't care if it's a lie. They will say what they wish the population at large to believe, that's all. And for the last 30 years or so, they have been allowed to go ahead and spout their lies, so they're used to doing it.

Hitler had one minister of propaganda; the Republican party and the MSM have hundreds if not thousands of them.

Haven't seen the Tweety segment, but hats off to him for replaying it and not letting another lie just slide on by.

9. Next He'll Blame Ruby Ridge On Al Queda & Clinton
Why stop now...let's reivise history Gaffney style...save the shitstain the "hard work"

Someone said that Al Queda actually planned Pearl Harbor...Yamamoto was really a secret operative. Then there was the attack on Fort Sumter...launched by Lucas Bin Laden. And don't forget who sunk the Maine...escapees from Gitmo (who cares if we're a century off...it coulda happened in Gaffneyworld).
