The Louder the Faux Poutrage the Less the Real Action (AIG)
Every noozer, every pundit, every politician on the air the last few days has been working hard to show just how outraged they are over the $160M in bonuses AIG will pay its 'talent'.

NO ONE, however, is saying how they will take the money back.

AIG will keep this money and will, in fact get more.

The MSM will have this story disappeared by next week, just in time for the next fauxtrage.

7. Obama Asks Geithner to Find Way to Rescind AIG Payouts
Monday afternoon, a White House official said the Treasury Department will use a planned $30 billion infusion into AIG to compel the company to repay the bonuses to employees of its financial-products group, which is responsible for selling the exotic financial instruments that brought the company to near-collapse.

The infusion, announced March 2, won't be finalized until the company and the Treasury work up repayment options, the official said. The bonuses to the financial-products division were "found to be completely unacceptable given that AIG is already surviving on taxpayer funds," the official said.

8. It's the same to me as with Congress's earmarks in the latest spending bill
One group is a bunch of incompetent managers that, after financially mismanaging their organization for years, paid out a tiny percentage of it's overall government funds for shenanigans that take money from all taxpayers and benefit a relative few.

The other one is AIG.

The irony to me is that, with Congress's management track record over the last several years, they would have the gall to give anyone advice about how to run a business.

And I do believe what AIG did was ludicrous. It's just I'm a sucker for irony as thick as this.
