Obama's 'ultra-liberal' judicial nomination
The president taps Judge David F. Hamilton of southern Indiana for 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago. A conservative legal group immediately objects, calling Hamilton an 'ultra-liberal.'

of why the Obama Administration should just chuck it's attempts at bi-partisanship. Any progressive ideas or nominees are DOA in the Republican camp, with no room to negotiate. Obama should just pick the individuals he thinks are best qualified for the job and flip the bird to the elephants. When Franken is seated, they'll have 59 in the senate. Then there are the 3 moderate Republicans in the senate who vote often with the democrats. Upshot--they have the votes to legislate and confirm appointments without republican support.

3. Not all conservative are Big Fat Idiots
There are little, skiny idiots too. Kidding. http://volokh.com/posts/1237306558.shtml">The Volokh Conspiracy, a conservative/libertarian legal blog, has a rather rational discussion and even seems to put down the freepers.
