Yesterday, Glenn Beck hosted his live-studio-audience special, You Are Not Alone. Watch parties were scheduled and held all over the United States, and even in Iraq at some of the bases. I was delighted to be a part of a watch party in Marietta, GA with at least 100 people in attendance. It was electrifying, and I was so happy to see the turnout - and that I was not alone anymore. We need to get back to our 9 Principles and 12 Values to take our country back.

We plan to schedule future meetings to further Glenns new The 9.12 Project (the sites mostly down, being bombarded with traffic now), based on who we were on 9/12/01. We all knew what to do without anyone having to tell us. We just knew how to come together and help one another. Weve lost that, and now we vow to get that back.

Beck's "We Surround Them" parties were pretty much a total failure. Bottom line seems to be that Beck's message isn't appealing to very many people.

The problem is that it will appeal to the people who just need a little more encouragment to do something really stupid.

I for one just don't get the 9-12 energy though. That's a tough thing to focus a movement on. Everyone on 9-12 was together, because everybody agrees that its wrong to fly planes into buildings and kill innocents. Its a no brainer. Real issues are more complex than that, and take some debate. I don't think we need to evoke "no brainer" feel good energy right now, I think we need to evoke the disciplined "do your homework and speak your truth" energy, which is a lot less easy.
