It was weird to hear him talk about his Grandma and Grandpa Shields.

Mine were "Shiel" in Scotland, as in Loch Shiel. They changed the name when they came over, though I don't know why.

I thought he said the Shields were Catholic, but I know he's Catholic, so maybe I misunderstood. It would make sense for the Shields to be Protestant, which would imply they're Scots Irish.
