I don't see why a contract saying that someone should get a bonus should be valid when
the money is coming from the taxpayer. Why don't they write a stimulus bill that dictates precisely what the money may and may not be used for?

3. Fulfilling the contract
I would say the CEOs by losing all the money and running the company into the ground did not fulfill their part of the contract and thus canceled the part of the contract giving them bonuses.

6. Also, if the taxpayers hadn't rescued them, wouldn't there be no
bonuses anyway? Bonuses are for doing a good job and making the company money. No money made, no bonus.
