1. Um if you have 100k in the bank isn't that a liquid asset?????
That said this is an attack on the program. we need to expand food stamps not make them more restrictive. (For example single people without children should eat as well)

12. Thats different and assets (like a car and house) are different than liquid assets
such as money in the bank.

I actually think one car and your residence and common possessions shouldn't count against Food Stamps, Welfare or Medicaid.

i don't think so.

you're living on your savings.

4. Hells bells.
I couldn't get them in Texas in 1992 when hubby and I were both unemployed because we had two fairly recent model cars. We were renting an apartment and had no other assets in the bank at that time, either.
