Will California’s lawmakers also give AIG money back?

Sen. Dianne Feinstein reportedly was given $12,250 in campaign contributions from AIG./AP

As word comes today that American International Group Chief Executive Edward Liddy has asked company executives to return at least half of their bonuses, the question remains if Congressional leaders across the country will do the same.

For the most part, California's leaders have taken relatively small amounts of money from AIG, especially compared to the likes of Chris Dodd, and even the president himself. But the state's leaders are well represented on the long list of politicians on both sides of the aisle who have pocketed AIG cash.

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who could soon be a candidate for governor, has recieved $12,250 in AIG campaign contributions, and fellow Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer has $9,500. The only others above $8,000 were Democrats Howard Berman ($18,000) and Robert Matsui ($14,000).

Over 100,000 each? I think they should either give it back or expect those 99% taxes.

4. You might want to be careful with this argument...
Obama took over $100,000 from A.I.G.

Chris Dodd was the number one recipient and George Bush the number two recipient.

5. Obama's mega millions campaign (half from big donors) has put campaign finance on ice for now.

Obama raised huge amounts from the Wall St. He can't very well recuse himself.

Feingold lost thatcampaign finance reform battle for now.
