....there's plenty of blame to go around. Probably you could say it was "Repubican-inspired," in that democrats who went along through the years without fighting for the public's best interest, which was certainly the intent of the republican party.

I remember my father talking about this bill before it passed into law. He was frothing at the mouth angry about the legislation

5. That the bankers and politicians are trying to unscramble the eggs they scrambled.

Kinda like putting Dillinger and Bonnie & Clyde in charge of the banks they robbed and throwing in the Keystone Cops to keep an eye on them.

is I hate not knowing what the truth is. I hate having to rely on someone else's opinion because I am not smart enough to understand it. I hate having a cacophony of opinions flying around, that are not based on facts, but on creating perception. I hate the thought that what I choose to advocate could be the worst possible choice, with the most dire consequences.

life savings. People very close to retirement will never recoup what is gone. I am also pissed that housing values have shrunk--for me it's not so bad, for some people it is a major loss.

Not that I couldn't understand it before but it makes me able to relate to the French Revolution all that much more. No one should be that rich while people are starving, losing their homes, etc. Even people who came by their money "honestly" - no one contributes so much to society that they deserve to be that rich when people are starving. No one.
