Lt. Choi Back On Rachel Maddow After Last Night's Feed Loss
Edited on Fri Mar-20-09 09:00 PM by Hissyspit
He was interrupted when the feed was lost during last night's interview after announcing on television that he is gay in the National Guard. He is a member of Nights Out.

Rachel says she still can't explain what happened.

He was in Iraq and has a degree in Arabic language. "We're saying once and for all, it ('Don't Ask, Don't Tell' policy) needs to be repealed."

I'll try to post the video from tonight later.

2. Her whole show tonight was really good. LT Choi was excellent!
I hope they both make a difference and get DADT cancelled.

3. I wish people would leave the gays alone.
Jesus. Lt. Choy and other people I've known who had to leave the military because they were gay (all Arabic speakers, btw) are more than qualified to serve in our military. It's a stupid policy and it needs to be abolished.

4. I find this whole "repeal" of DADT to be rather stupid.
It ain't like gays were allowed to serve in the military before DADT. Gays were removed, rejected, murdered, disappeared, fired, beaten senseless, tortured, threatened, etc. Whatever members of the military at any rank felt like doing to us was done without any punishment or investigation or recourse or comment and it went on all of the time. Purging gays from the military was considered sport, or even an honor killing.

This "repeal of DADT language" and focus on DADT in this discussion sounds like a rightwing construct written by Luntz.

Its real simple - Allow gays and lesbians to serve in the military. PERIOD.

I hope everyone stops confusing the issue with DADT chatter.
