WASHINGTON -- The Obama White House launched a new Web site, http://www.makinghomeaffordable.gov to give homeowners a one-stop place to research options to reduce mortgage payments and prevent foreclosures. snip

It also helps find counselors to guide homeowners through the often-complicated process. The most important advice: Don't wait if you are in trouble and are about to skip a payment or already have missed payments. Another resource: HOPE Hotline (888) 995-HOPE.

The information could be beneficial to any number of people. I would hate for anyone to miss it.

5. Hope it isn't NACA (neighborhood assistance corporation of america)
I'm sure that NACA is a fine program, and it is free. But their phone number is 1 off of my work phone, and they have had several misprints with my phone number on it. Unless I recognize the number or the number is out of state on caller ID, I don't even answer the phone anymore. It is so bad that I had to put something on my voicemail message giving them the right number. Of course, there are people who don't bother listening to the message and want a call back anyway. I have called them and they tell me that they don't have any written handouts with my number on it. Yet, if I answer a call from somebody, they read back the number on whatever they have and it is printed wrong. I ask the person to tell them when they call that they have a misprint.

Sorry for the mini-rant, but it is driving my crazy.
