How to destroy a popular president in a few easy lessons.
Hammer on inept he is.

blow things way out of proportion.

have a compliant and lazy media at your beck and call.

erode his support from the left by playing up how that support is fading.

Talk constantly about how the administration is "flailing"

Blame the collapsing economy on Obama and develop total amnesia about 8 years of bushco.

Really, they're well on their way.

1. They're off to a good start. A few more weeks and nobody will
remember the country was in a tailspin before Obama took over.

9. The Media are just part of the conspiracy. Remember the Arkansas Project.
Deja DU: Bush vs. Gore, the 'Arkansas Project,' the USA firings, and the Swiftboat Admiral

Yesterday, I watched "The Hunting of the President" again. MUST SEE film.
The media were complicitous in framing Clinton, to be sure.
But, they were reporting on shady characters doing dirty tricks and committing crimes
as if there was nothing askew in the sordid assault on the President.

4. I agree with everything but the last sentence
any poll numbers to suggest they're succeeding?

Of course they're going to try to bring him down, the question is whether they will be successful. Let's not confuse the fact that the GOP is trying to do something with their doing it.

5. All true, but the administration is not helping itself.
Do the research BEFORE the nomination. How difficult is that?
Don't agree to corrupt bullshit and think that your agreements won't come to light.
Don't make jokes about disabled people.

Obviously the media and the opposition party are going to attack, attack, attack. Consequently, the administration really has to consider everything it does, has to think before speaking, has to do its homework before acting, and desperately needs at least some advisors that are not INSIDE PLAYERS.

21. That's hilarious. Cali usually gets flack for being an Obama-bot.
And then, commenting on a defense of Obama in which she exposes the way people are attempting to demolish Obama, you claim she's working to destroy Obama?

8. The GOPs did the same thing to Carter and Clinton, in fact I recall it
with Truman.
They have never changed their tactics, and it's time we learned to fight back successfully.
Democrats tend to want to be "better" than the GOPs and aavoid criticizing them in media, but we can use some nasty leftwing people in the media right now if we want to beat the GOPs in 2010.

FWIW, it seems to me Palin believes she will be the GOP choice for President in '12 and as starting to campaign early.

11. JFK always said he was the second choice for President.
The first choice was "anybody else."

I think he stunned the GOPs when he got elected, and there was so much hatred for him he became a target.

I see some of that with President Obama too, and cetainly hope the SS is doing their job exceptionally.

20. Political vandalism.
I call it the book of matches approach.

Karl Rove and a matchbook will take down years of housebuilding. We put up the framing and foundation, and one flick of a match, it's gone.

It's hard for us who envision a world that works. So very annoying.

...in spite of the Central Leadership Corporation's attempt to revive the Republican party - the party that got the shit kicked out of it starting in 2006.

at least for now.

Republiscum may be going to the well one too many times or so we can hope. Any left flank is all but useless unless coupled with the ever diminishing Republiscum.
