Just noticed my neighbor who proudly displayed a flag for 8 years on a poll with a light ...

... and everything now has a NASCAR flag up instead of the American flag.

He was out changing the bulb in the light today and I looked up and noticed the different flag blowing in the wind.

I am going to be keeping a close eye on this old boy for any emotional changes.

you could ask him why the change? and if he starts going on about "socialism" or some such nonsense try to GENTLY enlighten him (dont argue just suggest he is mistaken, plant a seed ) and stress that he should fly the flag as he has always done, that he should be proud of our country. sure we have problems but we will get through it and we are all in this together. you might suggest that you have always felt a sense of pride that your neighbor flies the flag and that he loves his country as much as you do.......

14. i've a neighbor (down the street aways) who used to fly 'old glory' ...

...then, on November 5th 2008, down she came... and UP went the confederate flag (it flys day & night, unlike 'old glory' which only flew during daylight hours).

I used to live in Indianapolis.

Some of the best years of my life. I lived there during the Pan Am games. About went broke buying up tickets for those events. Carl Lewis, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Greg Louganis and David Robinson were all there.

The weightlifting competition at the Circle Theater was my favorite though.
