Student Kicked Off Bus Over Passed Gas

LAKELAND | This whole situation stinks for Jonathan Locke Jr.

An eighth-grader at the Bill Duncan Excel Center in South Lakeland, Locke, 15, has been suspended from riding the school bus for three days after being accused of passing gas.

"Jonathan passes gas on the bus to make the other children laugh and it is so stink that you can't breathe after he does it," the bus driver wrote on a misbehavior form.

Locke said he wasn't the culprit.

"It wasn't even me," Locke said. "It was a kid who sits in front of me."

6. Embarrassing...for the bus driver, who can't even use proper grammar.
I guess that's why he's a bus driver, though.

11. Aw. C'mon....
It's not fair to make assumptions about the education or intelligence of bus drivers. They have the toughest job in our school districts and deserve more respect than that.

:(

7. I have seen some really stupid bus drivers
The kids ride on their bus for 15 minutes and some bus drivers think they are going to change these kids.

Our daughter was suspended a year ago for talking on the bus. This woman was on a power trip, she kicked kids off if they didn't sit in the right spot or didn't sit still and other things.

This one doesn't really surprise me after our experience with some bus drivers.

13. Imagine... a bus driver who expects the students to follow the rules!
What is this world coming to?

The driver IS responsible for the students' safety. Expecting them to sit in the right seat and keep themselves under control is not too much to ask.
For some reason, some students act like fools the second they get on the bus. The bus driver has to worry about driving the vehicle and oncoming traffic.... and getting the children to and from school safely in all kinds of conditions.

The students must have some responsibility for their behavior on the bus.

18. Farting and talking?
Rules like that only belong in a communist nation. It is a fucking bus, the driver is responsible for diving the damn thing safely to make sure the kids arrive safely.

What's next they have to sit there with their heads down so as not to look at the bat shit crazy driver wrong?

These bus drivers are more concerned with what the kids are doing than driving that rather large vehicle down the road.

They are kids for gods sake.
