Just curious. I proposed making 24/7 child care available for the working class that work evenings and weekends and holidays and vacations and got slaughtered for it. I really thought that was a good idea considering they throw money at anything that has a large bank account. Why not throw some the other way?

For example, one passage I object to is "reinstating the assault weapons ban" in the following section.

21. I've read very carefully our Party platform and it supposedly states what we Dems support. I've

discovered however that often DUers disagree on some part of the platform as do I in the passage I cited.

I've read posts from several DUers who object to the passage "we will preserve Americans' Second Amendment right to own and use firearms" from the section I quoted in #14.

For them, they would ban some classes of firearms, e.g. handguns, semiautomatic firearms.

I expect there are other parts of our Party platform on which DUers are divided particularly if the issue is divisive and polarizing.
