Bill-O likes 'em barefoot, pregnant and at home baking cookies
from THinkProgress:

O’Reilly’s sexism: Women need male breadwinners, should stay home to watch the kids.

Last night — before engaging in a baseless, misleading attack against ThinkProgress’s Amanda Terkel — Bill O’Reilly launched his ire at single mothers who dare to have children without fathers. He said such decisions make women poorer because they need male breadwinners, and he insisted that mothers should be at home with the children anyway:

O’REILLY: Everybody, all the statistics and studies, show if you don’t have a father supporting the family, you’re probably poor.

HOOVER: That’s sexist. It’s not that you have to have a father supporting the family. But you do have to have parents and you have to have them be able to —

O’REILLY: I love this. I love this from you. It’s sexist, because I just told the truth. You don’t have the father providing some income when the mother is giving birth, OK? You see, when you give birth — you may some day know this — you can’t go out and work the next day, OK?! And you should be watching the kid anyway. So there’s got to be somebody else giving you money beside the government.

5. My Bro-in-Law stays home with the kid...
Seems to work great for my sister's family. My sister is an executive at Principal Financial. My brother in law worked as a waiter. When my newphew was born, there was never a question of who was going to give up their job to stay home with him. So far, it's worked very well.

6. Both parents should support their children
That doesn't mean they have to live together. It's called, child support, Bill.

I really would like the opportunity to spit in that man's face some day.

9. Interesting bio here.
http://www.nndb.com/people/434/000022368/

Wife Maureen was an executive prior to 1996. Two children are approaching the age where, if they are in a suppressed family with an autocratic father, are going to start rebelling and acting up. Maureen will stay for the children but will divorce him once there is an empty nest. Well, I'm just making some educated guesses.

10. Actually, any one who doesn't have two parents working in our society is more likely to be poorer.

Nothing to do with gender so much these days although women do get paid less for the same work.

Single fathers tend to be poorer.

The way things have been since Saint Ronnie. You need two working adults in a household. Sure women have benefitted from being more commonplace in the workplace but the problem is that you need two adults working to be above the poverty level.

Shit, I'd love it if I could stay at home and work on the house all day and take care of little YOY.

11. Nice!
This is why I chose to stay single after my divorce. I didn't want some FATMOUTH telling me what to do, just because HE was providing for me and my child. Fuck it!! I'd rather do it myself. Succeed or Fail. I've seen my married girlfriends STAY because Oh,he's a good provider, even though he made them so nervous their hair would fall out. Control the checkbook, tell me how to vote, where I can and can't go, who I can hang out with, what car I get to have???? Stick your money where the sun don't shine I'd rather be free!!!
Single mom for 10yrs, no desire to even talk to a guy, FREE AND HAPPY!!! Lived how I wanted to bought my own home, putting my child through college, we lived a Good Life never have gone without
and the ex owes thousands in child support, no alimony made less than me. FUCK O'Reilly!!!!
