6. The most "fun" car I ever owned was a TR-3. When it occasionally ran.
It was finally stolen. I've always thought that the thief had to have been drunk and in good shape to push it away.

2. Yeah? Ya think?
I got a song for you!

Beach Boys--"Shut Down"

Tach it up, tach it up
Buddy gonna shut you down

It happened on the strip where the road is wide
Two cool sharps standin side by side
Yeah, my fuel injected stingray and a four-thirteen
Were revvin up our engines and it sounds real mean

Tach it up, tach it up
Buddy gonna shut you down

Declinin numbers at an even rate
At the count of one we both accelerate
My stingray is light the slicks are startin to spin
But the four-thirteens really diggen in

Gotta be cool now power shift here we go

Superstock dodge is winding out in low
But my fuel injected stingrays really startin to go
Im gettin the traction Im ridin the clutch
My pressure plates burnin that machines too much

Pedals to the floor hear the dual quads drink
And now the four-thirteens lead is startin to shrink
Hes powered by ram induction but its understood
I got a fuel injected engine sittin under my hood

Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down
Shut it off, shut it off buddy now I shut you down

So, take that!!! :P

5. I had a '65 Mustang back in '65. My brother had a TR7. One day I traded him for the night and
Edited on Tue Mar-24-09 02:52 PM by county worker
picked up my girl friend in the TR7. She looked at the car then at me and said, "Where's your car?" I never drove the TR7 again. Loved the Mustang so did the girls.
I have a 2008 Mustang convertible now, the wife loves it.

I'm so glad I never met a Mustang guy in my teen years... I would have ended up in a lot of trouble

but I'm happy to be married to one :-)

9. Now I'm longing for my long-gone
1960 red MGA, which ran sometimes. The wiring always needed fixing. Must've spent way too much on that car in the early '80s before I had a baby!

25. Yes, 2002
The first year they re-issued it. Red, black and white (made every year) were the standard colors with a robins egg blue and yellow (made only in 02) the special colors. I also have the removable hard top in yellow.

But the window on my Dodge doesn't roll all the way up anymore, so that sorta counts as a convertable.

17. Here's my old Lancia, a short time after I sold it.
Edited on Tue Mar-24-09 04:54 PM by alfredo
It was fun, but when you tried hard cornering, the doors would open. Just a bit of body flex.
The red car was one of Mussolini's staff cars. Note the Pirelli tires on the Mustang. He was so proud of them. Notice the ridge on the sidewall. That was to protect the sidewall during hard cornering.

Also had a 1932 Balilla. It wasn't as nice as this one. It even had shrapnel holes. It ran well though.

21. I'll be the blur that passed you by...

Here's my rides:

That's just like mine - Dodge Charger 2008 R/T - Just bought it last January - I hope I can keep making the payments as I'm still unemployed. Traded in my gas guzzler pickup on it - it gets better but not great mileage. 5 speed automatic with 5.7 L Hemi engine -345 HP - they made one engine size larger but I couldn't justify the extra gas and cost.

and

1995 Camaro Z28 convertible - but mine is purple haze with a black top. Bought it new back in 1995 and it has about 188,000 miles on it now - 6 speed manual with 5.7L V8 LT1 engine - 275 HP.

26. Yes, if I can figure out Photobucket.

This is my Cruiser with several tons of snow scraped off. My first convertible in 25 years, after I sold the MGA. It would be too expensive to replace the MG now -- mortgage, home repairs, and that baby I mentioned before is now in grad school!
