This morning I heard sportstalk host Colin Cowherd saying that we need to
stop bashing CEOs. He said "CEOs are the ones pulling us out of the recession. The guy at the gas station is not pulling us out of the recession, the CEO of Exxon is." :wtf:

1. And who is more qualified to pontificate on the economy than some jock sniffer?
Fortunately most of those in his audience probably don't know WTF a CEO is.

2. Colin Cowherd said the Utes were going to get their asses kicked by Alabama...
And didn't deserve a shot at the national championship.

He's an idiot.

3. Cowherd is a fucking idiot, always has been
He's even more lame than Kornheiser, who he replaced. The guy knows nothing about anything and says shit to get a response.

At least Jim Rome actually knows what he's talking about on occasion. Cowshitherd needs his cord pulled.

4. Cowherd used to be a local TV and radio sportscaster in Portland before he got this gig
While he was motivated, it was obvious that he wasn't very bright.

9. Remember Colin's Corner?
He had a little commentary segment that Channel 8 ran for him every now and then. You could almost literally see the stupid oozing out of his cranial orifices.

10. LOL. I remember something along those lines
Cowherd reminded me of a sports version of weatherman Dave Salesky, though to his credit- Dave is bright enough not to pontificate on things he didn't know too much know about. He left that to Tracy Barry....

6. Colin's a nerd.
He should keep talking about football, because he doesn't know shit about politics and economics.

He just suckles at the ESPN teat, which may also go dry.

7. I've heard that guy before.
He's just as stupid when he talks about sports.

He was bloviating about how parity in sports leagues is terrible and everyone likes it better when the same big market teams win every single year.

Sounds like a typical corporate republican to me.

What a tool.

8. I was working with this neocon sandbagging today here in Fargo...
and he insisted that the AIG CEO's should be left alone, because they worked their asses off to live the American dream.

:puke:

What can you say to that?

Other than "pull your head out of your ass"???

14. He barely knows sports...
Much less anything having to do with economics or politics. If you want a good reason to take anything he says with a grain of salt, I give you this quote that I heard him say prior to the Patriots/Giants Superbowl of 2008:

"The Giants have zero chance of beating the Patriots. None."

We all know how that turned out.

16. Cowherd isn't even above normal in his sports knowledge
his economic ideas are no more valid than the "guy at the gas station" and far less so than anyone who say can win a game of Monopoly and took econ 101.

17. He's a conservative buttwipe.
When Keith Olbermann was first named to NBC's Sunday-night football coverage he questioned how they could possibly let their sports coverage be biased by having a liberal on the team.

Keith's comment when he heard: "Who is Colin Cowherd?"

18. My hair stylist would disagree
She says that bashing CEO's is perfectly valid.

I've yet to hear from my postal deliverer, but I think she would concur.
