Salton Sea Earthquake May Mean Trouble For San Andreas Fault
Edited on Wed Mar-25-09 12:25 PM by tekisui
Source: Smart Brief

Seismologists say they're concerned that a 4.8 magnitude earthquake near the Salton Sea may indicate a big quake on the way for the San Andreas Fault. USC Southern California Earthquake Center Director Thomas H. Jordan says the quake is a concern because it occurred right on the fault line and because earthquakes can often trigger other earthquakes. Records show that the main Salton Sea earthquake was preceded by 42 smaller quakes and followed by 23 aftershocks. Press-Enterprise (Riverside, Calif.)

Any activity that seeks to determine objective truth is anathema to their brand of politics.

6. Shhhhhh, dammit! Besides, that same place gets these clusters
of quakes with some regularity. I have looked at the USGS map and they all sit right on top each other, which isn't like "real" earthquakes. My money is on a new volcano working on surfacing there eventually.

I went through Northridge. I REALLY don't need another "Big Enough One".

LOL! See there's the proof, Walt Disney his daughter and their dog Old Yeller. Next stop The Grand Canyon where dinosaurs still roam the Earth.

9. No need to go to the Grand Canyon for the dinosaurs
Walt already fixed that - you can see the Grand Canyon and dinosaurs from the Disneyland train while listening to The Grand Canyon Suite.
