Wall Street Bankers outraged that we peons would treat them so disrespectfully
"...We're now shifting to the left pretty far in terms of business-bashing and it has reached extremes of incivility that are intolerable." --Arthur Levitt, a former chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Read all about how badly we peons are treating the poor misunderstood Wall Street royalty. Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123792916530530165.html

If they consider THIS level of scrutiny to be "extremes of incivility that are intolerable", what would they call it if pitchfork-wielding crowds showed up at their front doors?

When they do the will of their corporate masters, that's essentially the battle we're having to fight all over again after they've gone against the founders of this country's will.

We need something like a modern day "Boston Tea Party"...

8. The Wall Streeters think we are toothless hayseeds...
Come on, we are jokes in flannel shirts and housecoats--to them.

These millionaires think that anyone who doesn't live in New York and make millions--is a
stupid, lazy moron who didn't have the brains, talent or education to make something of
themselves.

We are scum peasants to these people.

How dare we have opinions or thoughts about these smart, rich, well-dressed hedge-fund managers and investment bankers.

Why, we're not even civilized!

You know, the one who was on the conference call about the
EFCA, threatening businesspeople who didn't contribute to
Norm "Chipmunk" Coleman's campaign?

Scumbags, all of 'em ... They DESERVE the criticism and
low approval. Makes me wonder if any of them are real
people or just machines.

12. He should be grateful he doesn't live in Europe.
The house of Fred Goodwin, the former chief executive of ailing Royal Bank of Scotland, was vandalized early Wednesday and windows of his car were smashed.

Mr. Goodwin attracted criticism for keeping his £703,000, or $1 million, pension despite a string of ill-timed acquisitions under his reign that brought the bank under government control...

At least three windows on the ground floor level of his house in an affluent suburb of Edinburgh, Scotland, were smashed and a black Mercedes S600 parked in the driveway was vandalized.

14. Do you find the peasants revolting, Mr. Levitt?
Bummer, dude.

You find us indulging in extremes of incivility after you and your cronies have stolen the bread off our tables for decades, do you? My, my, my. And even tut, tut. If you're getting back even one ten-millionth of the approbation you've earned ("earned," isn't that a funny sounding word, Mr. Levitt?), my recommendation is that you sit tight, because if you and your pals haven't learned anything to this point, you might be in for more hell than a little bit.

17. They sit up on their veranda, eating crumb cakes and drinking tea, and they watch the restless
little people down below complain.

They have what they have because of us. And they don't like the fact that finally we've realized how they came to get all that they have.

Cheat, steal, lie, work the system...why how dare we hate them for what they have!

Toss a biscuit down to the little pathetic people and hope that will be enough to shut them up.

Not this time...not this time.

18. Arthur Levitt has not sounded like himself lately.
Edited on Wed Mar-25-09 05:02 PM by Mike 03
I used to take what he had to say seriously, but lately, on Bloomberg Radio, he has been making more and more dumb statements, and many silly little errors, like constantly calling Tom Keene "Bill" or something like that.

I think he may have dementia, and I'm not kidding.

Edited on Wed Mar-25-09 06:13 PM by peacetalksforall
became conniving and were full of themselves and their power and some group, some entity created the atmosphere that they operated under - that there was NO limit that they had to impose on themselves and their scheming. They gave all their schemes fancy names and taught their best proteges how to do it or in some situations listened to their protegess about how to do it.

They never gave us a sideways glance as they figured out how to break former ceilings on profit.

This is first of all about deregulation and how rich little manipulators found there was NO limit.

They have given us NOTHING about them to look up to. NOTHING to praise.

They have been outed.

They got away with mega mega mega thefts.

No sideway glances at those who trusted and then lost big time beause of them.

Rather they are POUTING.

They DEMAND to be protected. They DON'T DEMAND that we be protected.

Scum. This article proved it. This was one of the most despicable articles I have ever read.
