Write a letter to protect Sequoia National Forest from OHV Damage -- 4 days left
I am no expert but I am certain that an anicent forest does not need more motorized vehicles going off road. In case some did not know, Sequoia is home to the worlds oldest living thing (the General Sherman Tree) as well as my favorite mammal, the very rare Pacific Fisher. I just got an action alert from Sequoia Forest Keeper and would like to pass it on. Details:

For five more days, Sequoia National Forest is accepting comments on their motorized travel plan, which will determine where Off Highway Vehicles (OHVs) can go within the forest.

All you need to know is here:http://www.sequoiaforestkeeper.org/currentprojects.html

Even if you have no experience with OHV's or Sequoia National Park, there is a good link at that page with some letter-writing tips and points to cover. I hope this post generates a few letters. Sequoia is a magical place.

1. Thanks. I love Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs. Yosemite is better but more crowded.
Sequoia and Kings Canyon NPs have much beautiful scenery, if not quite at the same level as Yosemite, but still very scenic and beautiful. Maybe they are talking about the surrounding Sequoia National Forest rather than the national park itself.
