1. I will not sign a Truth and Reconciliation demand.
I will however sign a demand we investigate and prosecute.
I have signed a bunch of those.

2. The lynching mob will form when the info gets out, so let's start with that
and get prosecutions by first informing the public.

This is no end run of prosecuting, it paves the path to prosecuting!!

4. No. We already know enough about Bushco crimes to send 'em up the river forever.
This won't change anything - I regret saying this, but a TRC is just another distraction and whitewash.

If Leahy had something substantially new to really tell us, he would have dropped a clear signal by now. Sorry. Really.

6. Agree. At the same time, this moves in the right direction
and any movement will do. What a set of hearing will do
is extend the circle of those who know the truth,
like Watergate brought the Nixon problem to the People.

What is lacking is for this to be in the news daily.
Once more People are aware of the facts, action is likelier.
Meanwhile, the latest torture news got into 13 press outlets.
The MSM has a blackout on this story, and this will end run that problem.

5. I don't know
I'm all for getting involved in civics but I remember in winter of 2007 when Wexler was getting signatures for Cheney hearings. He got around 200k or more and nothing came of it. Its just hard for me to get excited.
