I'll keep this short. If it's been said here already, please forgive me, I couldn't find it.

The votes were there in the senate to pass this bill. It passed the house. It was bottled up in committee by Collen Hanabusa. Gary Hooser was heroic in moving and advocating for equal rights for our gay brothers and sisters.

The senators who voted agains letting the bill be heard and voted on in the senate were: Senators Bunda, Espero, Gabbard, Galuteria, Green, Hanabusa, Hee, Hemmings, Ige, Kim, Kokubun, Nishihara, Sakamoto, Slom, Takamine, Taniguchi, Tokuda, Tsutsui). Excused, 1 (Senator(s) English).

It was and remains a dark day in Hawai'i nei.

Aloha.
