2. All this talk of spring snow makes me wish I was home
Even though I'm really looking forward to summer here at the end of winter in Boston, being snowed in at my parents' house sounds okay right now.

10. Fulton, New York in the east Lake Ontario snow belt.
They aren't my photos, someone else took them. Global climate change means that since about 1900, we've had fewer days with snow cover, but a steadily rising total snowfall. Lake Ontario stays open all winter, so fronts passing over the lake pick up moisture and dump it as the land rises away from the lake. The warmer the lake, the more moisture is picked up.

7. And here in L.A., we need rain.
We have only had 8.9 inches of rain since July 1, 2008. Season norm is 13.51 inches in that time. Send us some of your snow, please.

8. Only 5 or 6" in SE Denver
It's been blowing like crazy, but there's very little snow coming down now. I guess it's supposed to start up & hit us again, so I'm not shoveling until the sun comes out.

And, I'm glad I work from home, my sister's been on the road for 2 hrs and has only gone a couple of miles - yuck.

11. Hwy. 36 is still closed, I think.
I also heard that I25 was a parking lot both ways. Your sister might want to just turn around. Boulder County waited until everyone got to work to call a snow day. All the employees just had to set out again to go home. My boys were totally bummed that Boulder Valley Schools were out on spring break; this would have been an extra day off otherwise.

12. I'm in the north Denver area.

We have roughly 8 inches on the ground.

I'm not bothering to dig out - I'm just chilling out at home and enjoying the weather. Hot chocolate anyone?

Doesn't bother me - I'm a Coloradoan, and I'm used to snow. We certainly need the moisture - up until now, it's been a really dry winter.

I'm from Memphis originally. Really don't miss the weather there too much. Snow is nice once in a awhile.
