Depressed about Obama's view on Federal Cannabis legalization?
I believe Obama is still playing chess.

Tune in to MSNBC for 15 minutes and you'll notice they are debating the issue non-stop today. Same deal with almost every online community I frequent. This is how politics works.

Issue -> Debate -> Legislation

While I was disappointed that Obama seemed to take the question so lightly, the debate it spawned is much more powerful than the answer he gave. Maybe that was the plan all along? ;)

1. It's the first time Obama's broken my heart

I didn't even hear it all, but I heard enough to know that he blew the question off and made light of it.

I hope you're right.

This is a huge stain on America - HYPOCRISY codified. Never mind the incredible cost in dollars.

We'll never be a moral nation so long as we pay people, even look up to, people, who drink on Friday night and then go to work and destroy the lives of pot users on Saturday.

And personally? I don't use enough pot to care if I never have it again. But that's not the point.

2. First sentence nullifies the rest of the sniveling.
Go listen to what the man actually said before your next snit.

6. Well, he has already pushed to decriminalize MMJ
So I disagree with your statement.

However, I don't think he will ever push for Federal legalization.
